Last soaps for a few weeks

I got a new mould recently and decided to risk it for cold process soap. It's worked really well so I'm chuffed to bits. The only thing I can't decide - whether or not to brush the pattern with mica. Not sure which I prefer.

This one is a plain vanilla FO, uncoloured. It's a beautiful creamy colour and I'm hoping it'll stay that way! It looked like a big block of vanilla ice cream before I cut it.

Beaded bracelet

I was making this the other day and my Mum saw it. She said she really liked it, so I've managed to finally finish it and will give it to her for her birthday in March. The beads are only about 2mm across, and the needle is so fine I have to take my specs off to thread it :-)

I haven't been idle

I've decided to learn to bead and make jewellery because I can't bear doing nothing, and when I'm in the shop I can't make soap!!

This ring is made from a mixture of Swarovski and Czech crystals as well as seed beads. It was a bit fiddly to make, but it's held up well to doing chores and hand washing.

I've also had a go at a beaded bracelet but I'm a bit stuck now trying to figure out how to construct a clasp. Could be interesting...

Oh, and I've also made about 3 lots of soap. This one is a sort of fresh, ozone smell with a hint of musk.
